Review : Wardah Hydrogloss 03 Sheer Brown

Hello everyone, today I would like to review a product by Wardah Cosmetics, one of famous Indonesian cosmetic brands. It's Hydrogloss by Wardah, not a lipstick neither a lipgloss but the combination of those two, and that's the reason why I really wanted to try it. I don't bother wearing lipstick on my daily activities cause luckily my job doesn't require me to do so. However, I do really need a thing to keep my lip moisture. Well, I love using lipbalm but mine will reach its end by this weekend so I need to purchase a new one, and this sheer color gloss really attracts me to have one!
And finally I ended up buying it! Want me to review it? I'll make one for you.

First, let's see the other side of the box:

There's written:
Lipstick with soft colour and also maintain lips moisturized all day with aloe vera extract, squalane & vitamin E.
Sounds promising, specially the 'aloe vera' word!

Ingredients
Hydrogenated, Polyisobutene, Octyl Palmitate, Isopropyl Myristate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Glyceryl Trioctanoate, Polyethylene, Jojoba (Buxus Chinensis) Oil, Squalane, Paraffin Wax, Lanolin Anhydrous, Polyglceryl-2 Triisostearate, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Mycrocrystalline Wax, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, Allantoin, Propylparaben, BHT.

Ok, so I'm quite interested with the Aloe Vera extract thing here, from my knowledge aloe vera extract has been believed to have this 'peeling' ability, so will it peel my lip's dead skin too?
Next, let's see the actual form. Fyi, I've been using this for quiet sometime, so my hydrogloss here is really not a brand new one.

I bought the Wardah Hydrogloss 03 Sheer Brown, because the color is not too light and I hope it'll suit my brown skin, lately I avoid pink sheer or any light lip colors since now I've just realize I don't look good using those colors.

Sorry, for a bit messy looks
This is the shade when I apply it on my skin. I barely can notice the color under the sunlight, I was working hard to show the actual color in this picture though. Yes it gives a shiny and glossy effect.

Now, this is when I applied it on my lips.
My bare lips
With Wardah Hydrogloss
Sorry for the different lighting, since the first picture was taken in the morning once I woke up and the second on was taken in the afternoon (but still on the same day). You can see that it redden my lips a bit (the sheer color effect) and .. How I love the shiny effect. And anyway, I love the fragrance, it's really sweet yet soft ^^

Did it peel my lip's dead skin?
Yes! And it really moistures my lips so well. You can say this is the other way to exfoliate you lip.

What I hate?
It doesn't last long if you include eat, drink, or talk too much. I have to regularly apply it to keep the shiny effect. However please be careful for it will eventually peel your lip's dead skin. If you go outside while wearing this, you have to periodically check whether your lips' look still okay.

The price is medium, only IDR 24.000 ~ 28.000 , (around US$ 2.00 ~ 3.00) affordable! And it could last until 2 or 3 months forward!

If you think this color doesn't match you cause it's too dark, there are another color variants you may try the Autumn Peach and Glazing Plum.

Overall rate : 3.5/5 (Repurchase : not sure... But mostly yes!)

Thanks for reading!
